Subject: Re: Mixing 'giving documentation' and 'going
into details'
I wrote: Peter Zegers wrote, commenting on what he before in the posting quotes from Waage with: ...I see I missed commenting on the basically only thing that was not given the source for with a note in the quote by Peter Zegers; PZ, quoting Waage:As Detlef has documented in a posting Tue, 3 Jul 2001 01:27:27 +0100, this is not correct. The oldest Waldorf School in Cape Town, the Michael Oaks School (http://www.wcape.school.za/moakws/), was a racially mixed school from its start in 1961 (or maybe formally in 1962), but there also were other private mixed schools, as Sharon has pointed out. One of the things that seems to have differed was that it seems to have been particularly successful in attracting a racially mixed student body, due to its possibly having been by far the most affordable private school, trying particularly hard to enable poor parents of all colours who wanted to send their children to this school to be able to do so. It also seems to be basically the only part of what Waage writes that you quote that fits your description: Waage make[s] bold claims without giving any documentation.Detlef possibly will have more comments on it later.
